“To succeed against an accused person in a charge of unlawful possession of firearms, the prosecution is duty bound to prove the following essential elements beyond reasonable doubt: 1. That the accused person was found in possession of firearm; 2. That the firearm is within the meaning of the Act; and 3. That the accused person has no licence to possess the firearm. See BILLE V.
